TechSQUAD is a People and Planet Friendly, Media Literacy, Movie Making Program! 

Technology is a powerful tool that we hope will open creative and professional doors for our students! However, this is a responsibility not to be taken lightly. Emphasis is placed on using this source of power and creativity in a socially conscious, earth friendly, educational manner.

Using the Media Lab's iMacs, students will learn the foundations of our digital media world through video editing, filming, graphic design, audio recording, script writing, and advertising. 

At the close of Spring Semester, TechSQUAD students will display an expertise in iMovie and iPhoto through innovative assessment methods. For example, students will complete the TechSQUAD Independent Project. Each student will choose a teacher approved social issue in their community that they would like to bring to life through digital media. They will have the earned, and parent approved opportunity to bring a digital camera into their community to document this social issue. The camera will also have video recording capabilities. Each student will create a three minute film, which they will present at an open community event.
